  Bank account is now established for DFAS ALUMNI.

  EIN number arrived today so we can legally open a bank account. Should be able to get that done next week.

  An application has been made to the IRS for a Federal Employer ID Number (EIN) that will allow us to operate as a non-profit organization. A provisional EIN has been established and it will take approximately 15 days before confirmation arrives. When the confirmation arrives a proper bank account can be opened to deposit donations and membership fees. Donations and memberships can be accepted at the address shown here.

  Many of you have expressed interest in making a donation to the site for funding. We are currently exploring the ramifications of the IRS and obtaining a bank account to deposit any monies into. As soon as something is worked out so we're legal, we'll post the information.

  The Lawton DFAS Alumni web site is the brainchild of several former employees of the now defunct Lawton-Fort Sill Field Site of the Defense Finance & Accounting Service. A flood of support has prompted us to create this web site. We hope you find it entertaining, informative, and enjoyable. Membership and/or listing of your name/city/state is not limited to those from the Lawton DFAS Field Site. Any member of the DFAS employee community is encouraged to participate.
